Supporting Softer Facial Lines

At Skin Haven Aesthetics Whitsundays, treatments that may reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are performed in our Whitsunday clinic by a Registered Nurse. These services focus on minimising dynamic expression lines by targeting underlying muscle movement to support a smoother, more relaxed facial appearance over time.

Focused on Movement-Related Lines

Treatment is designed to help reduce visible lines - with the most common areas of concern being the forehead, frown and crows feet. Other facial areas can also sometimes benefit from treatment. A thorough facial assessment is used to guide the treatment approach for each client.

Tailored for Natural Results

Care is taken to preserve facial expression while softening high-movement areas. The goal is refreshed — not frozen — outcomes that align with your natural features and personal preferences discussed during your consultation.

Clinically Delivered in a Safe Setting

All procedures are performed by a Registered Nurse in a clinical environment. Treatment areas are mapped based on facial anatomy and muscle function to support safe, site-specific application.

  • How does wrinkle reduction treatment work?

Wrinkle reduction treatments target the movement of specific facial muscles that create expression lines over time. By temporarily reducing muscle activity in areas like the forehead or around the eyes, these treatments help soften visible lines and creases. The goal is to maintain natural expression while reducing the impact of repetitive movement on the skin. Treatment is always preceded by a consultation to assess suitability and determine which muscle groups are appropriate to target safely.

  • Is this treatment suitable for everyone?

Not everyone is a suitable candidate for wrinkle reduction treatments. Factors such as age, pregnancy, medical conditions, skin health, and facial structure all influence eligibility. During your consultation, your Registered Nurse will assess your goals, anatomy, and health history to determine if this treatment is appropriate. If it’s not recommended, you’ll be provided with alternative options or referrals. This ensures your treatment plan is safe, responsible and aligned with your personal needs and preferences.

  • How long do results usually last?

Most clients find that wrinkle reduction results last between three and four months. However, this timeframe can vary based on your muscle activity, lifestyle, and how often the treatment area is used. Over time, repeated treatments may lead to more lasting softening in certain areas. Your Registered Nurse will guide you on appropriate timing for follow-up sessions based on your results, goals, and response. Maintenance treatments are always optional and scheduled based on your preferences.

  • When will I see results?

Results vary between individuals, but most clients begin to notice softening of lines within 3 to 7 days after treatment. Full effects generally develop by 10 to 14 days. Factors such as metabolism, muscle strength, and treatment area can influence timing. Some clients may notice a gradual shift rather than a sudden change. Your Registered Nurse will provide guidance on expected timelines and offer a follow-up plan to monitor your progress and comfort after treatment.
